Downriggers Club

We are aiming to be a fun social club that focusses on downrigging.
We will have 6-8 competitions per year with prizes donated by Flybridge- importers of Walker Downriggers, Shark Cannonballs and a huge range of Wave Worms and appropriate jig heads.
Free to join the club and entry to our competitions.
We are after friendly helpful downriggers that are willing to pass on their knowledge to others in the club and only people that like to have fun should join.
Contact us through our contact us page on www.estuaryfishingcharters.com.au
Best wishes and hope to see you at our next competition.

The Hawkesbury Nepean Bass Anglers Association (HNBAA) is a group of like-minded people who are interested in fishing for Australian Bass. The HNBAA was set up in 1996 for us to get together to discuss and learn more about techniques to catch and also protect this enigmatic Australian native fish. Through monthly meetings, regular competitions and social events we raise money and data to help protect the Australian Bass "Macquaria Novemaculeata". We strongly support the catch and release scenarios in all our competition meets, with most catch sheets being forwarded to New South Wales Fisheries for scientific research. We only participate in lure and fly-fishing in all our competitions. We are actively involved in fish re-stocking programs of various waterways around Australia. Currently the Association has 300 members, making us one of the largest fishing clubs in Australia with a complement of men, woman and juniors. We annually have 9 club competition events, 6 Bass events and 3 Bream events, but membership allows participation in many other organisation fishing tournaments and ProBass events. We have Junior Camps to support the development of junior fishing skills.

The Sea Bees are a non-profit social/fishing club whose members mainly fish from boats, hence the name "Boating Club". It is not essential to own a boat to visit or join our club, however most members do. The club began in 1974 and currently has about 80 members. There is a strong family focus with the opportunity for family members to attend indoor meetings, participate in the scheduled competitions, weekends away and social events.

The Club meets twice a month at the Roselea Community Centre, Carlingford, on the second and fourth Fridays of the month. Doors open at around 7:45pm and the meeting starts at 8:00pm.
The first part of the meeting consists of a general discussion session covering items such as current news, fishing reports, proposed outings, brag board results and general business.
The second part of the meeting normally consists of either a guest speaker or a panel night. Various other activities are held which are detailed in the Indoor program.

The club has a quite varied Outdoor program. Throughout the year the club fishes locations such as Sydney Harbour and the Parramatta River, The Hawkesbury River, Cowan and Berowra, and Botany Bay. Weekends away are organised to Wollongong, Nowra, Port Stephens and Swansea. We also fish at freshwater locations such Lake Lyell, Glenbawn Dam and Wyangala Dam.
Field Days, Ladies and Children's days, Santa day, and crabbing weekends are also programmed on a regular basis.

Each year the club has 19 categories of competition. Trophies are presented to the winners annually at the presentation night. The main categories are freshwater, estuary, deep sea, children's, ladies, tagging, ANSA, open and champion of champions.

The Sea Bees are Australian National Sportfishing Association affiliated and a number of club members fish the various A.N.S.A. conventions.
