As most of you are aware, I have made my mission to catch a 20 KG Kingy inside Sydnry Harbour. And today I went in search of that dream! :)
As it turns out, I was late on th water but not by much.
I made a beeline for a coule of spots that had been shown to me. After a solid hour of flicking jigs for no result on the resident Kings! Seeing as this didnt go to well , I rounded up some livies in the form of yakka. With a few Livies aboard, I made for Blufish as that was a hot tip given to me last night. Unfortunately the tips didn't pan out.
Started heading back in and had a good look at Quaranteen Head. As there was a bit of current running out, and there was someone already on my spot  a drift was called for. It wasn't the best drift, but it was sufficient so that I could work along my preffered drop-off.
Didn't last very long there. With a lively livey doing its stuff down deep, it was only minutesd before I had the first half hearted tug on the line. Next tug...and the line felt heavy. And then the reel screamed.
WOOHOOO!!!!
As last time, I had a an audiece that was cheering me on.
Didn't take very long and I had a nice lil 63-64 cm Kingy flapping on the deck!
After a bit of revival, he kicked out of my hand solidly, and is assured of being caught once more! :D
Incidentally...this one seemed to take longer to revive than others I have caught or released.
Picture can be wiewed here!
