Out in the harbour again, got out late (4.00pm). Put in at the spit cos of the manly ramp issues which was quick and pretty easy for a small tinny. got squid with no hassles and plenty of yakkas, then went and hit a few markers. Found a few rats for dinner, then as dark approached went lookin for a jewy round the spit but no success. Found plenty of tailor tho in the late afternoon moonlight. Water is still warm as too.

nice fish Stef, how big was he? Wereabouts do you get the squid? I tried this morning at Fisher Bay near the Spit and got none. Is it normally good around there?

Hey guys,
The kings were only rats round 65, one fish 75. Were a few squid around. Sean i have tried around fisher bay and got squid but only on a paternoster. BTW Mulloway - tho we got none that day - the guy i fish with most days went out friday and found (for the first time in ten years hard fishing the harbour) a school of small 45 to 60cm Jewies. Got about 15 fish in 30 mins, like at wisemans...... (only kept one for dinner). Now that theres no netting in the harbour the bycatch of small jews must be getting a bit of a break and growing up nicely.
Lookin good for the future!
