Spit and Pickering 02 Apr 2007

Went out today on my new QE2. Tried around the Spit for a while for bream but only pickers. Headed up to Pickering Pt and got a nice 34cm bream and Trev 32cm. Lovely day on the water.
Photos of the QE2 below. Given her size and lack of horses, is there anywhere else I could try apart from Middle and North Harbour? (With kings being the target).

mate i dont know where to fish in the harbour...but i will tell you that you dont need a big boat to catch fish.....keep at it and plenty of burley and you will catch some fish

You do better out of your QE2 than most people i know and see out of proper fishing boats.

There are kings around where you are fishing for sure. Try for some squid, few Kelp beds from Spit to Chinamans to Balmoral, they would be your best help. All the best.
