hey mate bad luck. I don't know Bundeena, however some general things to consider:

Tides - was there a racing tide or was the water slack? There tends to be a better bite at slack tides if the current in the area is strong.
Baits - live preferably, or at least as fresh as possible. Sometimes we all have to make do with frozen, but try to avoid it if possible. Did you try using any of the baitfish you caught live? Plenty of fish are suckers for live yellowtail. Big baits too on appropriate rigs.
Structure: Were you fishing holes or eddies to a wharf or what? Most fish love a bit of structure, be it a sandbank in the surf, a bend in a river, a sunken tree, a wreck.... the list goes on.
Did you move around? Fish move and so should you after giving a place a bit of a chance of say 30 mins or so. If the bite's hot, then stay.
Berley. Need I say any more? Mashed pillies, bits of prawn, soaked chook pellets - the rule is to attact the fish with berley, not feed them! Little and often, smaller bits than you're using for bait.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck.

Benno you prolly did nothing wrong, Bundeena usually is quiet, mostly flattys and squid there, Pelagics do come thru there but only at times. I have always found it slow, i just go there to get bait.
Try and always catch bait in your area that you are fishing and use that, try and get yellowtail and use live or fillets. Or any other bait fish. I have heard it fishes ok for John Dory in the next few months, use Mado's as livies or yakkas with their tails chopped off. All the best.
