Hello All,
Nice to see a fresh new site, and glad also to see the same names popping up!
Went for a sesh with my son on Sunday morning at McCarrs creek. I had heard that there were kingies around the moorings and figured I could get lucky (maybe a jew too) around the jetty at McCarrs creek reserve.
We got there before first light, we had nice fresh squid, and caught some yakkas to take, and also a coupla poddy mullet.
A few touches from pickers but that was it. My son got bored and used a smaller piece of squid and managed a half decent leatherjacket, and a small (20cm) bream. After sunrise the westerlies really kicked in, we stayed until about 09:00am then gave it away. I perservered with the big baits, live & dead and got nothing all morning.
I don't get it, the water was warm, baitfish around, tide coming in, I would have thought conditions were good....
Obviously not. That's fishing!
Cheers,
Neil

Yeah, the pros have destroyed Pittwater yet again.

You're better off in the Harbour at the moment, at least you can be sure to get a few kings there.

I've fished there a few times on and off without any success. And as the other guys said the pro's have cleaned out the Kingfish. The Harbour is a better option, probably the best place to fish is Clifton Gradens, nice big jetty and a lot of bait fish do congregate around there waiting to be eaten by the pelagics.
Cheers

Thanks for the advice, I'll see what I can do at either Clifton Gdns or perhaps the Spit. I wonder how this will be during the school holidays!
Having said this I did see some major bust ups on the surface near little Narrabeen beach yesterday morning, so maybe a beach session is in order...
Have a good chrissy all!
