Has anyone had a crack at the 'fin lately?

I've been busting my ass to get a ride out there but the boat owner keeps wussing out because it's too rough.
Are the 'fin still there?

The boat I head out in usually is a 7.5m Haines Prowler, it's capable of handling messy conditions but the owner is very cautious and gets scared too easily.

Andrew, Ron Kovacs (The Office) went out last Thursday and got some to 20kg as well as smaller ones. They are still there, around Browns. Going out Saturday so hopefully will let you all know.

It was this time last year when we were getting at least 4-5 every trip, which is why I'm hanging to get stuck into them.

Chris, I know the boat you're refering to, there were kings under it at the social...
"The Office" must be one of the most popular boat names around.

Nah, just a friend, he knows George as well. Usually does alright, went out twice last week, first time came back in as it was too messy, got stuck into about 50 Kings, biggest 87cm, he heard another boat boated a 117cm model which was nice.

Second trip they got out and got some fin up to 20kgs.

I hope they are there on Sunday, going for a Jew bash Friday somewhere, maybe Harbour.

I got out this week finally, only got 5 rats.
I didn't bother winding any of them in, I was too busy casting at them with a metal slice on 10lb gear.

Thats still a good fish.

Let me guess you either got it on a small spin combo or 24kg game gear?

Plenty out there or are the numbers deminishing?

Cheers

None evident out there today Lee - apart from some SunFish mooching along on top and some blue eyed cod on the bottom, it was as quiet as I've seen it for a while

All the fish were on 24kg, which is why I didn't wind any of them in, I was too busy at the back of the boat casting metals with my Certate 2500-R/BeastBuster combo. :P

You know me mate, there's nothing more satisfying than getting totally done over on light gear. :D
