I'm with Andrew...I really want a 10KG+ King. And I'd love to get one on an artificial! :D Other than that, MORE FISHING!!!
I'm with Andrew...I really want a 10KG+ King.
I'd suggest that we get out and for them together Joe, but I don't want to be fighting you for the rod when a 10kg fish jumps on.
I agree with Andrew a 10kg Kingy is on my list.
Also a 10kg Jew on either bait or lure is on the wish list.
Northern bluefin tuna on plastic.
5kg+ Dollie on sp on bream gear.
Also a small black from my boat on spin(saltiga) is up there but I will have to wait to march/april for that.
Also my main goal is to move up to Port Stephens.
Then all my fishing goals will be realised 8)
Cheers

Sounds like an easy goal, and that is to learn to fly cast left handed!
Not as easy as it sounds if you're as far right oriented as myself
[try wiping your ar$e with your left hand]
George is there a benefit to doing it left handed?

Sure is Joe, particularly when two right handed casters are fishing out of the one smallish boat/canoe - this is one of those times where it pays to be ambitexterous for safety's sake, unless you want your mate to wear your fly as an earing.
The way I'm doing it now when the fish have busted up on my "wrong" hand is to cast away from the fish and let the fly drop on the false cast [if that makes sense] . The problem is you suffer from a major loss of accuracy and distance, though it is preferable than having a hook flying between two anglers who are fairly close together.
Yes, I see your point George. An earing wouldn't suit Ken I would have thought! :p

Catch one of those elusive "Hairtails" in the cowan
That's a tough one, hope you get one though.
Marlin and big kings. I've sort of given up on the big kigns inshore around sydney, might start looking around the deeper reefs and drop some mega slimies down.
Hi guys, nice to see so many familiar names.
My wish list is
A Marlin from my boat
and
Still chasing that big jewfish
My goals are:
catch a decent jew on SP and bream gear
Catch a King fish
A short billed spearfish, and one for you Swoffa and Otto, a Luvas. Impossible probably but seeing a photo of one at Compleat Angler makes me want one.

Why not Kamil, you've probably got as much chance at a luvaru as you would a hairtail at the moment LOL.
Cheers, Darryl
You are probably right Darryl, Lol. Those bloody Hairtail, is that what they were? I remember reading about them once in a land far far away. You gyus are so funny. Keep it up.
As with the fish, just found the correct spelling, Louvar. Weird looking thing. you have the Biological name Darryl, thats way too technical for me. Smart man.
