Im new to the forum so there is a few questions in this thread but please help:rolleyes:
Ok... Has anyone tried double bay wharf for squid and/or fish? What is Rose bay like... i have heard there are blackfish, flatties, bream, leather jacket and the occasional jewy or kingie so how should i hunt them... i have no problem catching yakkas so should i grab one and chuck it in amongst bites from squire or smaller fish?? How is the squidding at rose bay too... i think there should be some but i wouldnt mind that seconded... and how does bondi fish early in the morning from the shore (not rocks)... should i used ganged pillies or what? And last question, is there any beaches in the eastern suburbs to get beach worms??
(im located in double bay)
Cheers Mitch :)

with rose bay, i would try a small sinker with a 6/0 hook with prawns and you should catch flatheads, bream and leatherjacket. with jewies , i would go at night and put a live yakka under a big float and float it out. not to sure about blackfish, there should be squid there so trown at squid jig out and you should catch some, may sure it is at night. ganged pillies will catch any beach fish at any beach. hope this help, good luck

Squidding ver good at Rose Bay and all the way to Watsons Bay.
Plenty of small snapper at Rose Bay, Leatheries,Bream and Tailor. Not a bad spot to fish off land. I like to fish off Dawes Point under the harbour bridge on that side of the harbour.

Squid early or late off the wharf in Rose Bay near the boat ramp. There are heaps of Blackfish in this area also. Bream also hang around the restaurant in the evening as some of the dinners feed them food scraps in the warmer months:headbang:
