Went down to the beach near Narrabeen last night from about 6:30 until 8:30.
Choppy churny conditions, water was warm, not too much wind.
Using salted slimey mackeral, lost a couple of small ones at the beach, but didn't sight them, around dusk switched to frozen squid, caught a port jackson shark of about 60cms or so.
That was it.
My personal success rate off the beaches is far better at early morning rather than afternoon/evening - is this what you guys find as well?
Cheers,
Neil

sounds like pretty good conditions, pity the fish weren't biting. I'm not much of a beach fisherman but i like the evening with a high tide around dusk and fish 2 hours either side. I normally fish small baits up till just before dusk as i find there are too many pickers at this time and when the sun starts setting i throw out a big bait. Biggest fish i've caught is a 2kg Salmon just after dusk on a gang hooked pillie. Other than that a lot of small flatties.
