Drummer Question???

Im heading north for a drummer trip in the last week of august. Im praying for a nasty storm between now and then. Does anyone have any knowledge of wether drummer will be around in any numbers so late in the season?

From my experience of both spearfishing and line fishing for Drummer they seem to hang around the same area all year round. I had one cave on the Northern side of Shark Island at Cronulla that I used to dive on and always found Drummer schooled up in there.

The biggest one that I got out of that possie was a 10 pound fish that won me a trophy on the day.

Good luck mate, you have picked a top fish to chase both for their fighting ability and their eating quality. Love them in fish cakes.
