Hey Fishman, you mainly seem to fish at night, how is Windang during the day? Whats the bottom like off the fromt of the island-ok for bottom fishing or do you use a float? Might give it a go next week.

Fish_man
16-08-07, 08:19 PM
hmmmmm it is quite reefy on the bottom but u can still bottom bash, i mainly use
floaty wit pillies or live bait, does get quiet during the day at. Nite time seems more productive with tailors coming in but thats it. Havent been down there for 2 weeks so dont know how the fishing is down there. i do prefer the island during the day the breakwall seems pretty quiet during the day.

hey guys just got back from windang 2 night i was fishing on the breakwall...i was using a pilchard to 2mins in the water and i got a hook up felt like a decent size fish but it seemed to have cut my line off :puke: not sure what it was...but then the sea started to get rough and lighting was is the area so took off....

Nice stuff HSV, could have been a Tailor, they are renowned for doing that, what pound trace were you using? Thats still a good effort for within 2min of your bait being in the water!

Well done HSV, whats it like there, I hope you sussed it all out for our mission on for next week. I'v got plenty of different weight trace lines for us mate so we'll get those fish-up, I think my incredible reputation depends on it:rolling laughter: :rolling laughter: .

Some nice fish there mate.
As bass flicker said that little brown fish is a 'kelp fish' - chironemus marmoratus.
Catch quite alot of them when fishing surge zones on rock ledges.

Hey everyone,

Im packing the Landy for a three dayer at seal rocks. Its actually a bit of a weekend for me and my other half, but there will be a good amount of fishing involved. Im have struck a deal of four hours a day, which is pleanty to have a decent drummer sesion.

I hear that the sea's have been churned up through the week and the water is still cold so Im feeling pretty positive about having some nice photo's to post next week.

I'll be giving my new custom rod a go!! I've named her Beryl after the street I bought her on, she's a real bazooka 10 ft long and 9 wraps of raw pulling power!!!!!:2gunsfiring_v1:
