Hi all,

Just a quick report on the Hawkesbury.

I took Friday off work and decided to hit the Hawkesbury with my mate Ben for some bream action.

As per usual we had a great day. We started fishing at a gentlemans hour of 8:30am and finished by about 4pm after the Minn Kota snapped the pin in the shaft. ben scored 2 awsome Bream from the racks that weighed 1.2kg and 1.1kg. I also managed a 34cm. We had a combined 5 bag limit of 4.4kg. We also manged between us to land over 30 bream and ben landed some awsome lizards around the 60cm mark. We also lost some monster bream that were just too tough.

Not bad going again and as it happens I will be out there again tomorrow.

Looks like a few solid bream around mate. Are the racks still productive up the Hawkesbury? I thought they were going to be dismantled!

Not as producive as they used to be. 2 years ago you would pull 5 monsters and loose about 10 in a 2-3 hour session.

Most of the racks are gone and only the tracks are left. Not many trays about, but still enough structure to hide and feed on, but they are falling apart due to lack of maintenance. They will be gone soon from poor condition.

Yeah mate using hb's and sp's. No bait.

I have caught bigger and have seen people pull bream over 50cms
