Tried Blackfish fishing for my first time yesterday and I've got to say Ive been converted...collecting the cabbage/weed was easy and I ended up landing 3 nice fish in no time at all and one was a nice 44cm specimen...my 11 yr old daughter who loves fishing and also competes in our fishing club spewed when she saw what I bought home that day...so she chucked a sickie today and we snuck out after everyone had left for work./school and went Blackie fishing again today...
She ended up landing a huge 46 cm Blackie...weighed in at 1.3 kilos...and went like the clappers on the rod...
These fish are great to fish for...
Here are some pics...

looks like we have a record for Blackfish which i think will be hard to beat!
Will put it down as 43cm Fork length as thatis what the rules are, thats an awesome job well done, and great to see the girls getting out there and enjoying fishing! you must be a proud dad!

Awesome Captain thats a huge Blacky, looks like they were caught inside as well not off the rocks which is even more impressive!!
And 43cm fork sounds fine to me.
Well Done!

Hey Kamil !
You right there ? :rolling laughter:
Accuse Daniel of being a sig thief where'd you get Rip Snorta from ?? :rolling laughter:
Putting these thieves aside nice fush there Hooky haven't fished for them for decades since I stopped fishing the rocks but I know exactly what you mean by saying nigger fishing is addictive.
I live near the water & used to duck out every chance I got back in the old days think it had something to do with just waiting & watching the float go under the water
Oh JG you kill me! I spelt snorter different to you:sunny: :rolling laughter: so that proves i could not have stolen it from you!:3d sick rofl:
Sorry to hijack the thread, i copied that too:hot tail:

I love fishing for darkies but I cant see myself beating that one any time soon WELL DONE!:congrats:
That was the best fish I've ever caught. It put up a huge fight and I thought it was going to rip the rod out of my hands.
I took the photo's to school to show my friends and my teacher asked me to do a speech about fishing.
Our fishing club president couldn't believe it when we took it to him to show him.He said it was the bigggest Ludderick he'd ever seen caught in estuary fishing.
I can't wait to catch more of these.

Great fish,
have always been keen to target blackfish but never really carried it through.
always see big schools of decent sized blackies swimming around and kick myself for not being able to catch one.
good job there....ripper catch....:hellyeah:
