Good morning all,
One of the benefits of living and working in Penrith is the closeness of the Nepean River.
The kids had given me some flies for fathers day that I was keen to try out, so I woke up an hour early and headed down the river. After battling traffic for 6 minutes and catching the only traffic light I commenced swoffing at 10 to 6.
Ten minutes later I was onto a solid 31cm Bass that was determined not to come out of the weed bed. After finally subduing her, she was released after a quick phone picture and shot back off to where she came from. This was followed up 5 minutes later by a 20cm Fresh Water Mullet that put on an acrobatic display that was a heap of fun on the light gear.
I pulled the pin at 6:40 and walked back to work just as the rain settled in, I couldn't think of a better way to start the day.

Hiya Kamil,
It was near a weed bed with the fly about a foot under. To tell you the truth I was miles away thinking about all the poor people that where commuting to work when the strike happened.
Tyson.
Well done mate!
I have heard that they have already started to come on.
Cant wait to get amongst them!!!!!

earth worms are a top bait
Good old bread n corn for mullet, too
fresh water fish are great sport but poor eating, stick to the salt water species for a feed.

I reckon I know weir you got that. I am currently stuck in god forsaken england, but for the last 4 years (-1) my weekend day and night haunt was along here and down to the bridges.
The best bass fishing spot before the spring/summer rain and then upstream is better after the mass migration. You Rock.
