Snapper spots in Sydney

Can anyone recommend decent spots for snapper fishing without heading miles offshore? I've caught small ones around North Harbour and was wondering do the bigger ones hang around there too. Are there any other spots up Middle Harbour?

Longreef is a good bet, try any of the headlands after a big sea probably like Friday arvo or Saturday. Floating baits out to bommies like Newport have been successful in the past. longreef has however produced Snapper always, sometimes hard to find but they are there. North and South Head have produced in past also.
