I caught this fella at the weir last sunday , saw a few others caught too and a large bass dropped when lifting it out .

Went to the wier testerday. There was about six thousand people down there crashing all sorts of lures around the place. It was hilarious, there was people with deck chairs and beach rods. It was good for a laugh if nothing else!! I did see a few mullet being caught but no bass. Though I know they are there at the moment but not for long as I have a feeling that pond is heavily fished and some morons are taking the bass home for dinner! IDIOTS!:_smack_:

Gave the weir a miss on the assumption it would be packed. Headed up the gorge in the boat, hooked a couple of herring but couldn't land the little buggers.
Water was a horrible **** brown but should clear up for the long weekend.

Gee that Mullet would go some on a Fly rod and "bread" flies! They are great on light gear.
