There was very little in it apparently, I think they were 300gm out from a money place.

OK been a bit flat out this weeks, 6 out of the last 8 days fishing comps, I have severe casters elbow!!!!

Oz open was an up and downer for us, 1st day, we let our selves down with ony 4 keepers, we caught around 25 fish, but most were about 24cm long. We only ended up with 1.8 kg for the day, which put us all the way down to 17th. The guys who won the day were BAITS R US: Wade Eaton & Mitchell McGovern 5 4.17 and 2 ANGLERS WORLD AUST: Peter McWatters & Jack Olmos 5 3.53 5 3.53 with
3 SHIPTON TRADING/TT LURES: Mark Mangold & Scott Towner 5 3.28 5 3.28
Day 2 was a completley different story with Allen and I pulled 4.07 kgs with a 1.49 kg fish, I can say the journey home was a fair bit happier than the day before. This was the big bag for day 2 and biggest fish so far in the comp. We stuck to our plan on this day and it paid off. Day 2 placed 7th

Day 3, the plan was stuffed, the fish were not where we thought. It was doom and gloom all morning, only one fish for the first 2 hours, then lost 3 crackers, with only 2 more in the well. the best one would had of weighed even more than my big fish on day 1, I lost a lot of sleep that night over it.
We ended up 9th overall I think with only a few hundred grams seperating 4th an 10th, any way the final standings were

thanks for an enjoyable 3 days in the comp kris It was filled with the highs and the lows but for our first attempt a top 10 finish is not a bad result.
Next year we will set our sights on a top 3 what do you rekon?

Well done on a top 10 placing - I understand that the fish were either there for you on the day or you didn't do too well at all. Apparently one big bag on day 3 put the cat amongst the pigeons with a final weight difference of .04 grams splitting three teams.
