What do you guys think of this hot water? Has it been better for fishing or worse?

I tried to take advantage of the warm water, but the weather stuffed me!:rolleyes:Generally I would say it's good.

i also reakon its awesome. How could we complain, sure we don`t always get the goods but on average id say the amount of willing fish out there is peaking, and i still have 5 weeks up my sleave. Mmm will have to make the most of that very shortly

I think we should do some extensive research into this topic!

So I am giving everyone homework for the weekend.

Can everyone please go fishing on the weekend, oh what a shame, report the water temp & catch results.

Please report back to this thread on Monday.

Damn I'm a hard task master.....hehehe :P

their were heaps of small bonito at the entrance of mccarrs creek this morning
they were very fussy on the bite, only got the one on a very small dark halco, the water temp is around 26 degrees who knows whats under them. i thing this due to the water temp being up

I know you said Monday...but anyway....

Out at the Sydney FAD was 23.2 got 2 Dollies.
Wave Rider.....23.4 Nil fish.
Found a trap in 120 m of water heading south from WR.....22.7 got about 8 Dollies.

Doesn't seem to make sense.

That's not a water temp issue Joe, but more of a fishing pressure issue.

Dillies wise up pretty quick and go hook shy until they've been left alone for an hour or two. 1/2 hour on the bite and 2 hours off!

H/bury River - Bar Point/Bar Island

Water Temp - 26.4 - 27

Catch - 3 jewies 20-30cms

Great day on the water (19/02)

The 3 jewies were caught underneath the overhead power lines, so they must have been stunned for us to catch them!!!
