All the creeks are flooded up my way or close to it . This has inflicted a real blow to my bass fishing. A mate of mine wants to hit the habour and lanecove river, looking for kings schooling up and throwing a few plastics at them.

Does anyone know wether we will be wasting our time after all this rain?? The weather should be clear on sunday but what will the water be like?? Do kings get turned of by huge fresh flushes or is the habour too close to the sea to make a difference??

Any help would be appreciated:blow up me:

Not that sure there's as much fresh water about as you think drove actoss the bay today & it looked pretty clean to me & mind you that was close to low tide as well .

We have had rain but not consistant enough to make rhat much of a difference.

This is only my opinion, but I have always been of the opinion that after substancial rain you are best to use a bait with a strong aroma to it, chook gut comes to mind. as the visability has far reduced the fishes ability to see a bait.
Therefor I don't like your chances of soft plastics working very well.
Maybe if you inpregnate them with a needle with tuna oil they may do OK.
Let us know what happens.

was fishing around the spit last night and the water was crystal clear, kinda suprised me i thought it would have been a little dirty after all the rain.

yeah i saw it today, was semi dirty. If your going for kings then bait like frank suggested is probably the go. we hit pittwwater on thursday with soft plastics. plenty of fish on the finder but nothing. Kings can be very picky sometimes and i reckon especially after the rain. Im concidering going out tomorro for a bash. Just got to check with engine on boat.

Given the tides/new moon/dirty surface water the ideal target this weekend should be jew not kings i think
