Nice Flattie

Taken first cast at Balmoral Beach tonight, off the beach just near the kiddies rock pool. Pilchard tail.

Nothing else caught, no bites either, until I was just about to leave and something took hold only to let go (I think another lizard, a tad smaller than this one). Spent two hours earlier at Narrabeen Lakes without success (near the islands).

It measured 70cm

Late dinner last night, flathead fillets with chilli and rice.

A few minutes each side under the grill, nice and juicy.
