guys went fishing this morning caught jack all but there was lots of dolphins in the harbour.

Yeah, same here. Did Balmoral on Saturday arvo. 7 yakkas off the wharf then off to the rock pool at the northern end for an experiment.

Broken off 3 times by something, 15lb breaking strain line. Only once got to feel what it was - seemed like biggish taylor. Lots of initial head thrashing, then a run. Definitely something with teeth.

Used the rest for fillets, caught a few choppers (throw back size) and one keeper reddie.

The young fella was playing around with his kiddy rod and caught 3 very small salmon within 20 feet of the shore.

Time to try somewhere else I think.

yer i saw a few dolphins yesterday at around dusk down at grotto point. headed down for a spearfish down there me and my mates came up with a couple of blackfish which we cooked up on a fire on the rocks.

wish i had a camera down there saw a few big blue grouper, some PJ's and one giant wobbygong which swam up next to me and scared the hell out of me, it would have had to been around 6.5 foot it was bigger then me pretty cool to see up close
