Thanks mate, hard work for me on sat, just couldn't connect to the right fish even though we knew they were there just couldn't get that kicker I needed, Touf got e'm though, then sunday was a whole different ball game with both of us getting good fish. We had a ball and ended up pretty close to the same weight for sunday, We ended up with a teams average of 1.080kgs for the comp with our best fish at 1.280kg caught by Touf.
A good prefish was the key to us doing so well, spent all sat a couple of weeks before checking it out, which got Touf in a spot of bother with the missus, but I think that may be sorted after presenting her with the $1000-00
cheque to bank for his efforts. Gotta keep em happy...
After seeing what touf weighed in on sat and then sun I knew he was a good chance and you guys for sure were going to be top team for the round.
Yeah me and Benno had really put the effort in this summer in Berowra and had it sorted. i pulled 5 1 kg plus fish in 4 session on the water, but I made the mistake of not getting out before the prefish ban. Things change so quickly.
We could have done better if some idiot ( me )had stayed connected to the 5 big fish i dropped before 12 o'clock. But thats breamin and you get over it quickly.
Any chance you can pm me the hb's you were using, if not give me a point in the right direction.
Cheers

No probs Lee, no reason to hide it in a PM, info like that should be shared, fishing is for fisho's to enjoy & if I can help others & others help me than everybody gets more enjoyment out of what they love doing "fishing".
OarGee Lil Rippers & Pumpkinseed Gulp 3" Minnows were the lures that worked for us.
Thanks for the info Greg and I too like passing on what I use when it is successful. Glad to see the bream like the gulp minnows and I have heard from heaps of guys after the probream that the Gulp 3" minnows and Gulp grubs were the undoing of most fish. I had some success with custom 1" hawgs. Its good to see that the faithful lil rippers are still holding thier own and worth a spot in the tackle box.
Well done again and if I don't see you soon I will probably see you at the next round or at the harbour round.
Cheers

Definately be fishing the next round at Lake Macquarie, the fishing there can be tough but the fish are real big, 1.7's + normaly take out big bream in that round, we had a prefish session there 2 years ago that produced 6 bream for 8.35kgs in 40 mins, once we found them, ah but thats always the key to it (he who finds the fish shall prosper)....
Yeah I have never fished lake Mac before and I don't know if Ben wants to go up there for that round. I might have to find another deckie.
Cheers
