Just back from a sth coast camping trip near Ulladulla. Damn nice stretch of coastline between Ulladulla and Batemans. Fished an excellent point near Bawley. Sticks right out, v.safe, deep water either side. Salmon and Tailor were plentiful (to 2.5 kg) under the white water. Top fun on metal lures. Tailor cooked up a treat on the fire and I prooved to the mrs. that I am a worthy hunter gatherer.
Cheers

Pretty Beach was the caravan park but I did fish Snapper Point DC. Good kings there and saw the occassional yellowfin cruise past. Used to fish "the singing stones" a bit as well. The better beaches I thought were along Kioloa and north.

I will be at Ulladulla from Boxing Day until when. Took the "Seafairey" (thanks DC, the name has stuck now) down there two days ago and put it in the garage of our hol home ready to do battle with anything piscatorial. (had to go down for the day so thought I would take the boat and save towing it in the Christmas traffic)

Ulladulla is much underated, no one writes about the place in any of the fishing collums but it always fishes well, offshore, the rocks and the extensive beaches.

I like to get my live bait at a small reef near Bannisters headland then head out to the Kingie ground in front of the Harbour (good spot for Snapper to) and then go past Burril rocks for some flathead. Can't wait to get down there!

If anyone is down there at the same time please say hello, you can't miss the "Fairey", cream with a yellow flash and black canopy on a ss rocket launcher.

Cheers

Quinie, if I see you down at Ulla I will get you and your dad a trip out in my boat, cross my heart!

Give me a call on the mobile when you are there, I assume you still have it if not send me a PM and I will forward it to you.

My family's hol house is on the corner of Did-Dell street and Powell Avenue, blond brick with blue collums, seperate garage with entry from Powell Ave, you cant miss it. The family and relos use the top storey and we rent the bottom unit out.

I plan to be there next Thursday latest.

Look forward to seeing you mate.

Not sure Quinie, I have to be back for some business on the 6th Jan but Mrs Haji has her 90 yo mother in hospital and I may have to come back earlier but I am sure that we can work something out. Just ring me on or after Thursday if you are there or call in and say hello.

I spent a couple of holidays down at Kioloa BC a few years ago now. Had good fishing off the rocks to the right as you go to the beach. Some nice jewies were caught off the second beach heading north and was a great pippi bed just before the headland (north). Good luck mate its a great area all round there.
