Avoca fishing Report 1/04/06

My dad went out friday nite. Conditions wer beautiful hardly any swell n nice sw wind. Caught tailor n sum yellowtail. Tailor started to bite around 11pm. The next morning winds were like crazy lucky it was a s/sw or else unfishable. Other fishos caught BIG BONITO aslo a YELLOW FIN TUNA!!!!! about 13/14kg. Also this other fisho was onto sumfing BIG!!. He was using a tuna for bait so must of been sumfing BIG!!! for sure. I came out around 8pm saturday nite only to find the swel was damm big but i knew it anyways. SO we fished inclose wer it was heaps safer. My dad caught a 3/4kg shark n that was about it went home around 10pm. Anywayz even though fished for abit it was gud enough at least i casted a line hahah!!!

Good work Fish Man. Was the shark a bull shark? You could have kept it for Sacha.;) Was the YFT taken on the rock platform at Avoca or from a boat?

Hmmmm im not exactly wat type of shark it was, it was silverish in colour thatz all i noe. And with the YFT im not sure about that too mate.

just to correct one thing it was a bluefin tuna not a yeloowfin my bad. U can see the pics on fishnet.com.au
