Botany bay fishing report 02/04/06

Decided to go for a late fishing trip to Botany Bay wit the boat. Left the house at 5pm an d got ther about 6pm. Launched the boat n then we wer off!!!. Went to the mouth of the bay close in the Kurnell side. Anchoored up n rigd up. Casted 2 unweighted pillies n 2 floated pillies. First run was on the unweighted pillie but then lost it after. Then the next 3 or 4 hits was on the floated pillies all fish was landed. All tailor n decent size too. conditions wer ok swell was stil high but was ok wer we fished. was a tad choppy but eased as the nite came.. also caught some slimey mackeral aswell which we kept for bait later on. Then we moved to near the oil wharf n caught another mackeral ther. Cooked on of the tailor we caught n went home. All together caught 3 Tailor [1 released], a couple of slimey mackeral. Not a bad couple of hours fishing in the bay!!
