hey everyone,

I'm new to this forum, and i want any good suggestions on places to fish in berowa waters area or up to the brooklyn bridge. My dad takes me out fishing on occasion and ive started to really get into it, but we really dont know much so any help apreciated, only really fished on the odd occasion. We only ever really catch bream and flathead, but today we caught this fish, had no idea what it was so we put it back, does anyone know what it is?

What you have there is toad fish, exactly which model I can't tell you.
The rearward rounded dorsal fin gives it away.
Probably good thing you threw it back and didn't take it home for a feed.

Hey Makintime....Drop in spend some money and have a chat with Ben at Windsor Bait and Tackle....No better spot to find out info than the local tackle store....otherwise do a search on this site and you will find plenty of valuable info!

I fish Berowra ALOT. Bream and flatties are the main catch down there though you will find

Gar fish, esturie Perch, Jew Fish, Black Fish, Tailor, and quite alot of Bull Sharks.

You need to get a map and have a good look at the place, as there are MANY hidden secrets down there. Fish deep in the channels for Jewies and fish creek mouths for the flatties and the bream are always around the oyster racks and wharfs and fallen trees though they move up and down the main creek with the tide. There are some truley HUGE Bream and Jewies down there but you will have to be VERY OBSERVANT.
