Sorry about the size of the photo but the bigger the better.

Salty & who ever else is not aware

The Hump on the heads & Jimmy Durranti noses are a result of the fish head butting reef & shell in their search for food.

And yep yep they are glorious looking specimens except for the 2nd one looks like that one OD'd on Fugly Pills :rolling laughter:

they are huge going by the nose and bump on the second one

The top photo the fish was caught from a charter off Arno bay which is south of Whyalla in South Aust.
The 2nd picture I know nothing about, it was just a photo shown in the thread for comparison.
The top fish as I stated is 35lbs it was caught on 28th Jan 2008.
That's about all I know at this stage.

The strange thing is that the big snapper over in NZ dont get these bumps.
May be something to do with their diet i guess.

Really dont know why Pukunui but know what you mean.

Possibly they have a different food source over there & dont need to head butt reef

Think what he's trying to say Frank is that you need to go find a plastic surgeon & go get a nose job.

Oh yeah & get yourself a hat you looked a bit sun burnt in the pic.

Pulling your leg Frank Haji didn't really say that he got me to say it
