Hi All
Fished around lavender bay and bluespoint from my tinny last night just thought I'd let you know how it went.
fished from 5 pm to 10 pm with high tide around 7.30pm
Started off drifting across the hole at the end of bluespoint with fresh squid but after catching a good tailor of about a kg got bit disheartened having to weave in and out of the ferry traffic so we anchored up in Lavender Bay.
Set up a decent berley trail and carried on fishing squid strips on lightly weighted line.
No jewies unfortunately but consistent bites from small snapper (nothing legal), another good kg+ tailor and bream of about 35cm. Best fish though were a couple of big flathead the largest being 65cm. So a good night but no bites from those elusive jews.
Any advice about fishing this area? My brother has had 1 small jewie here drifting live yakka but cos of the boat traffic this is never easy here. Any responses appreciated.
