Is my boat too small

I have a 16 foot Crest Rider Half Cabin with a Mercury 90HP oil injected 1992 model.
I want to go out a little more and Im not sure If its ok to do so.
Im only new to boating and I am very safety inclined.
My mechanic said that the motor is in good running order and the boat is also in good nick.
So how far can my boat take me ?

Tony keep an eye on the swells and wind,On a good day once you get enough experience you can go as far as the shelf.
Tommorrow is a perfect day for it.
If you ever need a crew give us a yell,the more you go out the more experienced you will become,like me.
