Hey Guys, after being pushed off our spot, (check other post in general chat)
we headed out to the Broken Bay Fad.... the water was 25 degrees the whole way pretty much... No consistent current lines on the way out, so just headed stright.. anyway we got there, to see 1 boat trolling around nothing...????

I found a block on the bottom (i would assume the fad was attached to that at one stage???)

dropped lines had a fish for 5 then headed back in to a flatty drift...
As it was already a bit later in the day and i could be bothered heading north to terrigal or south to th sydney fads...

So anyone know where the fad is ???

Do they move or are they fixed to the block type thing i saw on my sounder???

Does anyone know which fads would be best for me to hit up being closest to pittwater exit into the sea???
so basically close to palm beach ???

Mate the broken bay fad was there on thursday (off its marks a mile or two tho) even tho everyone said it wasnt, but you should have been able to find traps even if you couldnt find the FAD....
The BB fad is a good one but so is the Long/Reef Dee why one....... and there r 2 @ longy not just one like at B/Bay

Can i just add tho that you dont need a FAD or traps to find dollies..... any piece of floating structure or debris in warm enough water is worth checking out..... I have caught them under floating logs, boat fenders, ballons, and almost anything you can find out there....
check everything out that you pass on your way and you will find fish.....

yeah thats what i have been told... when we were out trolling around last year with the dude who was teaching me bits n pieces.
he rekons u always have a look out scoping for floating debri....
there was alot when we were out then, it looked like a boat had been blown up . hehehe,

i was thinken of putting my own down, just with a 10pount anchor, 2or 300 pound line, up to a floating 25 litre drum... keeping the co ordinate etc ... then just moving it each few weeks...
