My Boat the S.S Kronik...

Hey Guys,

I have taken somepics of this boat, i may be selling it, or i may do the work to finish it..

if i sell it i will always have these pics to remember her by... if i fix her up, i will have good before and after shots..

she works fine, the motor starts almost always first time, and is fairly reliable... the trailer and boat are bot good and working too.. but i wanna do some cosmetic stuff to the old girl.. give her a bit of a face lift..

Nice old hull to get back into top nick there Hamu! Maybe build a cabin, convert it to shaft drive inboard and re-name her the SS Minnow..Would be good to get stranded with ginger on 'Hamu's Island':ohhh yeah:

Yeah well that was the plan, i have wood to re do the fake floor, which doesnt really need doing, just some patches... (but will prolly do the whole bits)
everdure the soft spots, and fill any gaps, but yeah the work is only really on the inside. and lie i said, u can take it out as is fine...
She is great...
She just got that dirty due to the use of the old mans 38 footer hehehe.

yeah i was - lets just say bored one day, and grabbed a can of spray paint and went for gold... or pink should i say ?? hahaha

i did have a live well on her, also fish finder and radio etc, and she never let us down around pittywater/ broken bay ...
but yeh she could do with the touch ups...

Its taken this long, but on the weekend past i decided i would start some work on the old girl...

I will post pocs of my completed project soon...
she now has rego for 11 months too, so once done, i will place her for sale.. but will be using her until sold.. YIEW !!

oay so no pics yet... but i have now finished re doing the floor, and seats... (well the false flooring) i have taken off the finder radio, lights etc, and now ready to get to work on the inside.. Just really a sand back and repaint... a couple of things to be fixed but nothing major...
That should be the better part of this weekend, and next week evenings after work...
then all i wanna do is touch up the outside of the hull.. like where the transducer was mounted, etc...then go around and give her a touch up paint...

I think once done i will keep her 2 weeks on, 1 week off on a mates jetty, whilst i sell her.. this way i can use her too..

(started the engine on the weekend.. runs sweet.. pumps water and stuff fine too.. cant wait till i get her back out, and can pass her on to someone who would enjoy her, being a project boat.. etc..

Bigger job than i thought, but its worth it..

i have pretty much taken out the wood from the walls of the hull, and gone in and found all the soft spots... taken away all of them back to hard...

run a bunch of everdure into the wood, and have started patching the holed with wood filler.

anyways, next part is to sand everything back, and have a look to see if there is any more stuff to be touched up, before i give her a paint..

that will be the easiest bit..

She will then have no leaks, no soft spots, and be in good nick to get out on the water again...

if i could get a 2nd hand biminy somewhere whe will look complete. even without though i rekon she will be looking great and fish great too..


(hopefully i can get a couple of kings on her before she gets sold...)
