How are you meant to see anything when vertical? Youd be putting yourself and others at risk.
I reacon there an accident waiting to happen and probabley have already caused a few.

They are not actually a racing boat as you cant even insure the dam thing with a stupidly large motor, but im just asking for a mate who wants one??

Im with you Mate dw, there dangerous but watercops cant seem to get them even though they have there own website on what days there going out, which is www.supaskua.com.au (http://www.supaskua.com.au).

They drive around swamping all the fishierman down the wonnie river, bunch of tools with a bad excuse of a boat if u ask me!!!!

Back in the days we used to have them, and they can be insured with a 25hp on them which is more than enough.. Few of my mates still gt out in them, one with a 60hp Yammy, there also used t be a bloke on georges river with a 120hp on one.. VERY VERY funny to watch him try and turn.

What do you want to know about them??

There are 2 models, the skua was the weaker version (up to 9.9)
the supa skua had extra ribs and strenght and up to a 25hp.

Great fun!!!! Still love the things!

They cant be insured with a 50 but these days there is only about 3 blokes that have anything under a 40, there a 5 blokes who have put 50's on them.

The guy who put a 120 on it lives in kangaroo point, hes got a 40 tohatsu on his skua now.

***I have a 3.95m stessco tinny and i am looking to downgrade as it wont fit in my new boatshhed along with my jetski. What do you guys recomend???

Still got a hull, but i doubt its seaworthy anymore, all corroded and stuffed.. If it was anygood id be using it with a 9.9 in the rivers out here. Even so though they are small and dont have high sides..

Mind you they are hard to flip and sink (might have done that once or twice????) :(

Not sure if you know the bloke with the 120, one of my mates bought their boat off him.

My mates dont use theirs so much anymore since upgrading to bullets and LAB's quite a few years back.. Even they dont get the use they once did.. Its all Fishing boats now..

Toshu's were always the gun motor back in the day.. When we started a 25 was massive and most in port hacking were using 15's and thongs..

Have to say though the 60 is GREAT FUN!!!

I agree that they do look stupid but they are a hell of alot of fun, i think you should ask someone who has driven one before. Not your normal boat ride, and i am on the georges river basically everyafternoon after school and every good weather day in the holidays and this is a cheap toy to muck around in.

I think Mr potato head's got the idea??

yerr id think about getting a skua for the good weather afternoons when the georges river is at its flattest.

With a decent motor you might get away with goin for a fish in the local bay aswell.

had a Yammy 25 on the last one, It went hard and was still realistic to just cruise about in.. Would be fine for fishing anywhere in Botany Bay..

Before anyone says anything about them handaling a chop..

Mates skua, 2 up, Lake Maquarie, 30 knot + Southerly, large lake chop and those who have been there know how short and steep the chop can be.. Toronto - Belmot - wongi, Held it FLAT Out the whole trip and overtook a 5m?? runabout with a 90hp on it that looked to be doing it hard.. you whould have seen there faces...

They actually handle REALLY well with the big motors as ya can just drive through anything... As for actually sitting not moving in a big chop.. not so sure..

Im getting all revved up to buy one now..

Stessco, you drive the hacking.. been a while since i been around there.. Only person i know thats still got one there is Grub (Red Bulletproof, turriel bay) but he dont use it anymore. actually, dont use the bullet much either!!!

Yepp they handle heeps good through the chop, i think its because the motors so powerful on that boat that only 40cm's on the back of the boat sits on the water.

I think this is why they go alot faster, is because there is less boat in the water so theres less drag.

Im mostly on the georges river as i live in Sylvania Waters on the river, i might be making a trip to the hacking in about 2-3 weeks to catch up with a couple of mates there.

Most of the skuas are on the geroes river, there are about 5 that have 50 tohatsu's that live on the water and are out quite alot and about 5 more that comes come out occasionally.
