I went to Lilli Pilli and fished next to swimming pool.
There were few locals and the place was quite pleasant to fish.
Also the water was crystal clear and that was my first time in the area.
Anyways fished about 5 hours but only caught 9 juvenile ones - breams and tailors.
Man that was my 5th time this year only managing one decent fish.
My success rate = 20% !
Is this the usual case ?
Apart from catching fish, there were two things that night.
As I am very naive I always have questions about fishing and this local guy
kindly gave few tips including
- how to hook up a pillies as bait (prawn is only thing I've ever tried) and
- what the hell is yakka (saw in many post here in SSF but had no idea..)
The other thing was there were about 5-6 boats that night and one of them drifted to within my casting range and pissed into water.
And that PISSED me off a bit.
I mean sure anyone can do pissing into the water and I guess it's inevitable for people on a boat at night.
But they don't have to come to area where other people are fishing.
Anyways, hope my success rate goes up next time...
