Haji first off I like the way you have set up your boat and started a new thread rather than adding to your thread that has become so looong.
Years ago I fuelled up my ski boat at Dargle only to drive off down the river and the motor came to a slow stop. I had a famm/framm plastic bowl fuel filter (internal filter) full of water. Drained the water out, boat started but had no power. Got it back on the trailer drained out all the water from the tank (bloody heaps) but the boat still died from fuel starvation very quickly. Removed the filter and the skied all weekend without a problem. Assumed the filter was paper and once water logged fuel could not pass through.
Replaced it with a CAV's filter separator and always wondered if the CAV's filter is a paper element or is a synthetic filter that does not become water logged?
Some times I have to purchase the Ryco equivalent. Are they paper or synthetic?
BTW – synthetic may not be the correct word as they may still be a paper element coated with something that does not allow them to become water logged.
On a side note each time I filled up at Dargle after the problem I ran it through a funnel with a gauze filter and most times got around 1/4 of a teaspoon. This was back in the early 80's and most people just added a cup of metho to their tanks before they started their weekend of sking.
Grant.
