sounds like fun garth camping and fishing are great past times
Berowra always produces great Bream and Flathead, plus the odd good Whiting and soapy Jews.

He was fishing in one of the creeks accessed by boat though alot of the fishing is done from the camp site, so is land based.
Berowra is one of the best places to camp in the whole of sydney. If you do some exploring you will uncover some true wonders and the fishing can be explosive at times.

i had the worst day at berowra on monday, went there and it was threatening to rain all day, caught nothing not even a single bite. the only thing which was worse is that i left my rod and reel there LOL i was so pissed off. but lucky i won 650 on the pokies when i went to the pub to get out of the rain. the black panther machine is d best. berowra underneath the bridge and near the jetty and carpark and in general was reall bad fishing when i went there

:rolling laughter: I could imagine how crappy the fishing would be if your land based near the boat ramp or pontoons. Thuough I must say in the colder months if you find some good weed the areas you were fishing contain HUGE schools of black fish and it is not unusual to catch well over 20 fish above 30cm. You just have to know the tricks!

blackfish are another story alltogether ive only ever caught a few and they fight well. Im buying a new rod soon and hopefully ill have better luck with the bream, flattys and whiting elsewhere like when i go to port macquarie. its a shame sydney just isnt generally all that good when it comes to fishing. Well i only speak for myself and when i say that ive only been fishing in sydney a few times. i dunno. hopefully ill have better luck with the fish next time. and in a different place

Sydney is an AWSOME place to fish. though it does take a little more hardwork and peseverance than other areas. You really need to target your fish very specifically and get out once a week to be any good!
hi guys am new here.
I love fishing Berowera , i nornally go up river across the ferry and around to where the mudd flats are. I went there about a month ago on a sat evening but all i caught or should i say ws caught by the mozzies.
I used to go there about 10 years ago.
can any one give me a heads up as to what is best to do and some spots and best tide times.
thanks

Well since your a tiger supporter,
well you cross the ferry and head up towards crosslands as you said, and as you start weaving through the moorings youll see a rediculous house boat with a balanese pagoda on top. Stop here and look towards the bend that takes you up on to the sand flats. Youll see a sign on the the bend that indicates a sharp incline under water. Its where the water goes from 3metres up to about 1.2 very sharply, you need to anchor right on the drop off and start to berly at max high tide and wait for the tide to turn to runout. Use fresh Hawkesbury prawns with the lightest weight possible, you may need to change your sinker through the progression of the tides.
As crosslands creek flows down into the main berowra creek all the flatties and bream sit on the bend waiting for everything to flow down over the drop off. Your always best to time your tide with dawn or dusk.

I hearin ya big fella. I like to aim for goals in my fishing to, like a 50cm bream on lures (yeah right) though I still like to get up that end of the creek on a hot summer evening with some fresh peeled Hwkesburys and catch the mix bag!

The Tigers killed me today i was watching the game and thought yep we have a chance but the 2nd half we went close but the luck seem to drain away as it has been lately.
mate i used to go arond the bend and stay close to the shore on the rh side as u go up river. I will try what u are telling me and do it. I was watching a fishing show yesterday and am amazed at how bream take hard lures....but i have to try it
