4 words: BLUE NOSE BREAM SUCK
yep I've caught my biggest kings in autumn, now is the time to fish those big livebaits around the headlands and down deep over the reefs! Other than the kingies I would like to actually wind in a yellowfin, have sunked the gaffs in a couple but yet to catch one! In between that, the drummer should keep me well fed.
last winter the bay was full blurters some going 60cm & plenty of salmon aswell fishing around the markers & along the container wall will get you a feed of jackets & there is always the odd bream and flatty about.

Hey Pez
Catch a sambo and stick it out as a livie around Barrenjoey Head for xos Kingie or come up the Hawkesbury and chase down some jewies.
Need to talk soon.

10kg is the heaviest gear I got Pete, being spooled for me is one of lifes great pleasures, aaaagh, an empty reel and all the skin missing off your thumb. Might need some friendly directions up the Hawkesbury, haven't done alot of fishing up there. You got my number re: talk soon. See you out there soon.
I'll be targeting sambos & tailor off the beach on my new lite beach gear, maybe target beach Jew overnight, and posting lots on here to get some credits to go out with Pete to target XXL kingies!
Cheers, Neil
Bashir, let me know when you may be going on your next Hoodlum Hunt, or chasing 'Fin. Wouldn't mind tagging along.
I will be picking up a downrigger reel soon that a friend is making for me, and I will certainly be giving the headlands around Sydney a workout with it for the bigger Kings very very soon.:D

syd harb king caught today, @ centurion wreck off quarrantine, after gutting tailor into the water for 15 mins. 78cm, on live yakka
last time the water was this warm in autumn (2003), the fishing over winter was pretty hot.
and with the pros not pillaging, this winter should be even better.
The fish dont breed, so they feed all winter.
Resident Kings as well!
As I have said previously...get out and chase the Kings!
I did just that today, and came up trumps. 2 very solid fish, and got a new PB of 84cm, all within stones throw of the shore.
