I got back last Saturday but had heaps to do so just posting now.
The channel at The Entrance was pretty dirty with all the recent run off we had from the rains. Tea colour would be the best description. I fished down near the bridge on the wharf. There were flathead, bream, mullet and heaps of chopper tailor (most just undersize).
I caught more fish but didn't have a camera as the pics shown here are from a mate's who stayed for a day or two. On the down side where the channel is the tide dropped heaps due to the "king tides". Some person got to close to the edge, fell in and was swept out to sea through the channel (it raced when the tide was dropping). They were very lucky the lifeguard happened to be in the area watching when it happened. If it had happened 30 mins later they would have been in all sorts of strife as the lifeguards were nearly at the end of their shift.
Here are a few pics (the third and fourth photo are of my view from the unit I was staying at).
