Hi Fishoes
Went to Botany on Sunday passed and called along my cousin Nick. Went towards the 3rd runway, a heap of boats arrived not long after. The boat was facing one way and the line was going the other. It was impossible to burley and generally the fishing was very difficult. Nick wasn’t disappointed as he caught a 60cm flatty and later a smaller specimen at 39cm. All I could manage was a couple of small snappers. This is my third trip in as many weeks and I have been unable to bring a keeper home, invited guests are doing ok.
Starting to think a fishing curse has been placed on my rods & boat. Does anyone know of any curse breakers, chickens feet, eye of toad etc.

It's just the way it goes sometimes, are you rigging the same as the others & what sort of tackle are you using ???

Strange thing with me and Red Morwong and Watts reef.
Every time I take someone to Watts reef THEY catch a Red Morwong, I have never caught one there.
One night there were 3 of us on the boat, the other 2 caught Red Morwong, and all I could get was Bream.
Maybe I should find someone with a similar curse and go with them to break my curse.

You did't take any bananas on the boat did you? That is the big NO NO that would get you thrown off a game boat at Browns if discovered.

And DC what would you know about spells? Have you woken up to the spell that I put on you for speaking ill of my and Simon's eating habits or do you think that it is just a rash that will cure itself? Better repent old mate before it gets worse!

Dark Cloud i posted the same thing about me a while ago. Since i got my new rig i hadnt been able to catch a thing. I was told to cover the boat with salt by a superstitious person.
Another thing which has changed my luck is to fish out of other peoples boats. Ive been going really well the last few weeks. But still trying to test the theory on MY boat.
Went out yesterday and came back with 4 reds, 3 bream, 1 king and a heap of bait for salting - slimies and taylor. The only bad point was fishing up the anchor rope.
So if you want to cheat yourself out of the curse, jump on with someone else...
