Took on the forecast storms Wednesday with RokJok777 and another mate Tommy. Picked up livies and headed out, hoping for better water than we found to be honest. Couldnt find stripeys for love nor money, the only things we trolled up at all were small dollies..... (what a great fight on 24kg :rolling laughter:).
Got out to where the Broken Bay FAD should have been, it was not there.
Have a few other private FADs that weve found plugged in to the gps so checked a couple of them out for loads of dollies all about the 50-65cm mark. So many were undersize this trip but still got enough legals for the three of us.....
Headed back in toward some reefy drift grounds but nothing much on em other than a few schools of slimies and loads of jackets etc :banghead: , so pushed back in toward Avalon rocks for a troll, and wasnt it on fire.
Our slow trolled livies got destroyed by kings 60 to 80cms till we ran out of livies, then we pulled out the lures and picked up more kings and bonito, before i was shattered by a big fish that pulled my accurate drag like lightning when it was way past strike and nailed me into the reef. Unstoppable kings r fun.:yahoo:
By then it was 3pm and we were ready for :scull:
