Rigging for trolling

Hey Guys... I have been told this is the way to do it, just looking for any others thoughts or opinions....

When using skirts, I rig them myself the same as the pre rigged ones, my question is simply how do attach to my main line???

my rig is basically- 30 pound on a overhead. plat to double (about 3 meters long, so it gets to the reel before the rod tip... ) then thats joined to my pre made wind on leaders ...

Do i simply put a bead on the wind on, then undernearth tie on a big snap lock swivel ??? and then is this what i attach to the lure rig???

20 ft of double with a quality snap swivel like Sampo tied to the end of it

20 ft trace on lures [ i use 600lb mono] trace is sleeved on the loops then crimped both ends.

Prob because I have so many lures I dont crimp hooks on use a s/s shackles instead.

Heatshrink used on hooks is the quality thick wall/glued stuff not that crap hook setups are sold in the shops, that stuff will fall apart with the 1st strike you get.

I have my lures, say for example my skirts and bullet head feathers right... they have about 4 meters of leader - (150 pound jinkai) and since i did my little brothers car stereo the other day i use the rubber insulator bit as the sleeve.... Clamped .. so basically i would attach this just to a big snap swivel attached to my wind on leader right ???

its just i never had to rig myself, first time, always used other ppls stuff when goign the bigger stuff...

Hopefully still be some stuff out there the weekend after next .. hehehe

Hey what size/ weight are the snap swivels you use???
also, what knots are you using to join the snap swivel on?

Like I said 20 ft of double generally platt around 6 " - 8 "

With the heavier momo's like 15 kg , 24 k in pic below my earsight is still good enough to finish the platt by weaving tail back into the platt.

Lighter lines I finish off with 1/2 hitch's
