nice well done, remember take progress pics... one thing i forgot to do when i rebuilt my last boat.
you budget will have to streatch a fair bit for paint though, esp if your going to do all the recomended layers. I think i did 2-3 coates of each, 3x etch primer (PA10), 3x primer, 2x undercoat then 4x top coat (last 2 thinned out for shine).
Painting cost me about $500 once thinners & cleaning agents were bought.
I also had the air compressor so i sprayed each coat on to the boat .
Good luck!

Ignore this post if your boat is not a tinnyI was pretty sure it was
Stainless bolts and nylock nuts with plastic washers all round.
Do yourself a favour & get some inserts as per pic @ bottom
Drill a tight clearance hole push nylon insert through the layer of alluminium the use a knife to trim of the excess length. [rounded bit]
Leave the rounded part ontill after insert has been pused through as it makes it easier to push the the nice tight hole.
The insert protects the alluminium from getting in contact from the stainless which in turn illiminates future dissimilar metal corrosion esp if you're using threaded bolts with no shank.
Motor trimmers use those inserts from memory they cost $15 per 100 & well worth the cost they only come in one size cant recall ifit's M6 or M8 bolts that you need to use.
have had some great tips bout painting the hull and will only be applying 2 coats of primer then 2 coats of top coat-have a spray gun available to me so no cost
Again I'm assuming the boat is alluminium
More important than final coat & sealer is something you did not mention.
Etch primer or you'll have the paint peeling off all you need is a dust coat of etch.

Oh yeah...use a product called duralac for all stainless steel attached to the boat, otherwise corrosion will take over (dis-similar metals reacting.).
Jason. Sorry mate I have been pretty slack with getting back to you.
Seems you have made good progress with the project, and I am waiting to see the pictures.
Do you still want to test the boat with my 35 hp motor , and if so when do you think you will be ready for the testing?.
I would like to have a sticky beak at your boat and your progress, and offer any tips, if needed ?.
