Hi there,
Went for a flick of the plastics again Sunday morning.
First tried off one of the breakwaters along grand parade. Was all quiet until something stomped my lure and cut me off before i knew what happened! Was only using 8lb fluoro trace. Nothing after that, was there about an hour.
Then went down to Kyeemah and fished the inlet. As usual there was a bit of a crowd down there. 2nd cast and I caught a small flattie - throwback. After that things quietened for about an hour, until i started getting some small chopper tailor, 3 - all throwbacks. Finally hooked a decent Tailor only to have him spit the lure as i tried to land him!
Two guys either side of me had the best catches. They were bait fishing with heavy sinkers and casting right into the middle of the inlet. They landed a couple good Bream and decent Trevally, as well as a big ray that put up a good 20 minute fight.
Started fishing at 8am and pulled up stumps at 12 noon as my stomach was rumbling.
