Just wanted to know do the commercial guys have the same size limit as we do cause I swear our local fish shops got snapper around 20-25cm and trevally way less than 30cm (unless they were caught last year!!!)

yea i know i see heeps of flatty over 80 cms and heeps of flattys under 33cms n snapper under 30cm too

ive seen the same thing all over the place. i dont think they have the size limits.

i seen that to ive allways thought that when the pros catch
pull up there nets there half or fully dead so no point throwing
them back thats my thoery anyway
they must waste heeps in fish shops :banghead:

My thoughts exactly.. the fish would be nackered. They would have to have an exemption, regardless if you agree with netting or not:jumping red:

Thanks for all that input but comon isnt there a better way to fish than just kill everything that comes in the net. Maybe they should come up with some time of commercial `enviro net`!!!!

I hate seeing undersize fish at the fish shop, especially kings.
If we all keep paying our fishing licences more pro's will get bought out.
Most fish are from fish farms and therefore do not have to adhere to general size limits. As you all say, you can see Kings in the 45cm range, Bream under 25cm, Snapper under 30cm, and the list goes on, but these are mostly farmed fish.
