Honestly speaking i know nothing about boats but fishing is my passion alwayz have been.I used to go out fishing with a mate of mine off long-reef in his boat a haines hunter 445f and it was a great fishing boat.

So with the little experience that i did have fishing outta that i think id luv to get my hands on 1 of them preferably with most of the gizmo on it. ie:cutting board,berlie-bucket,hod holders on the side and top,sat-nav,and a 90hp motor in good nick or is that too big for the boat?

Something reliable so i can take my 2 girls out on a good day and all enjoyed by the family (wife/daughter).

Dont want to spend more than say $10k

any help would be appreated thanx.E.

Im in the same positionas you Bige- my brother and I are looking for something that is reliable seats 3/4 comfortably with all the accessories.

Do people prefer Fiberglass to Aluminium? Advantages/disadvantages?
I think 90Hp is really over doing it isnt it?
We go out in a old old aluminium 4.5 metre boat with a 25HP motor. It definatley has personality- and personality go along way :)

Hey g'day disco like i said my mate had a haines 445f and im pretty sure he had a 90hp powering that and it was a good ride man.Off long-reef it used to get a bit hairy sometimes and instead of going up-down over the waves we used to skip on top of the waves full throttle damn i miss those days.

But the haines hunter 445f some say is a bit small,Need a 5m boat with a cuddy -cabin sleep so we can sleep over n stuff.

I have a 5M quintrex with full covers & that will do just about everything that i need, complete with a 115hp 2st yammie so I personally dont think that a 90 is over doing it.......hehehehehe

Bige my 20ft bayliner is up for sale. It has a 115 optimax engine just 2yo now 120 hrs, full smart craft options and 10 ltr oil tank, new covers, sleeper bit all new stereo etc. GPS and sounder, its all pretty shmik. It does 45mph and is quiet. The ride is smooth as. i am asking 19k. The engine cost us 15.5new with all the options. The only reason its for sale is that once I moved to Windsor and got the smaller boat, it very rarley gets used.
pm me if you would like a look
