:noway: Well I said that I would put it up :banghead:

Yes peeps it's a K*&%$####@ Stick but I'll mount a Big Dual Drag on it & prob use it as a live bait rod see when the times comes.

Initially I did build up the exact same blank which is Graphite by the way & a beaut action on it.
I also glued the grips on this one whilst I was @ it but never got around to finishing it cause you've got buckley's chance of getting me to go jig for those BLOODY KUNGY's & that's what these 2 rods design where based on.

A jig stick to suit a threadline reel, I'd had a bit of a laugh one day when I was shown some rods imported into Oz to be sold as threadline jig sticks they were heavy & woefull so I grabed a couple of blanks & hardware to knock up a couple to send back so s it could be duplicated.

Anyways not finished yet cause I've been lazy & the only reason I even thought about finishing this one was because someone asked what the formular was to do a Spider Wrap.

Yep peeps they're supposed 2B 4 legged spiders I hadn't wraped one B4 & got curious mind you it's a very easy pattern to wrap.

The initial pic that I was shown was a red back spider [black body/ red back] I'm not a fan of the lighter coloured threads as they tend to fade so I did this one in metalic silver with a red back, think the intsy winsey spiders stand out better on black background

Soft Spot my Ar*e:rolling laughter:

Kid you notevery time I take someone out 1st thing they ask is

Any Chance of getting a Kungy ???

So I generally keep a heavier rod on board to rig a live bait to & to this day haven't had a touch on the livies.

But they bast*rd of things have no probs taking the floaters laid out for the snapper & as long as we're not fishing overmy favourite reef we have no probs landing the kungs on the lighter 3 kg outfits.

On the reef , well that's a different story & quite a few fraying lines come back with no fishy on the end of it :devil-smiley:

Just awaiting the new reel for what alot of peeps would like to have as a live bait stick for those Kungy's again a graphite blank cut this one down to just a touch over 6 ft, plenty of poke & super light fot a rod of it's type even put wittle fishy's on it's design.
