Hey Yall, just a quick almost non fishing report from the weekend!

Left for the central coast saturday just after midday....Nice quiet drive up which is always good as the highway is usually chockers with sydneysiders looking to escape the smog!

Arrived and packed up the boat launched @ parsley bay @ 4pm.....Headed to a (cheers Wayno) well known bait spot and filled the tank in just over half an hour! Headed back to another spot to relax and wait for a jew run....They didn't play so we headed to another spot to bunk down for the night just after 10pm....Was woken up at 4.30 by a wet sleeping bag which was soaked up to my waist due to a leaking hose on the live bait tank....live baits we sent out earlier were still kicking so we hung around for a bit and on first light headed out off broken bay for a search of bait schools....Got about 4-5km out and came across first bait school so out went the lures and we trolled around some marks my mate got off a trapper friend for a few hours, had a couple of drifts and a anchored up at a couple of marks......Not much going on till we went over one big school of bait and some action around my lure, one... two ....three ..big splashes just behind it then a couple of albartosses flying above decided top get in on the action....Darn birds one devoured my lure as I was about to bring it in so the waterskiing alby was on the way! Three sets of trebles on the lure one had gone into its mouth the second into the outside corner and no.3 hooked into its wing...Took a few minutes to get the hooks out and thankfully he flew away after a little R & R....By this stage weather started to close in so we headed back inside the mouth of the Hawkesbury for a drift....Picked up a 30something cm flatty some undersized bream but nothing to get too excited about-one yakka came up with all but its head bitten off.....Released all the unused bait and headed for home!!! Top weekend catching up with my best mate, good relaxation time, kept up my record of minimal fish but yet again had a great time!

Happy days
Jason

Good report mate. Geez ive put some hrs in for a Hawkesbury Jew. Ive had better luck in the Harbour.
I slept Sat night on the water also. I didnt have a water leakage but at 2 a.m. i woke up freezing. Lucky i had extra raincoatsin the boat and wrapped them round me. Not like last year when i used newspaper to make socks and a beanie! Still being wet must of sucked!
