Been to Lake Macquarie

Well, we travelled up to Swansea (great spot) on Lake Macquarie.
Promised the kids (aged seven nine and ten) a boat ride and some fish.
Took the tinny out on Saturday (19/04/08) afternoon the rain had stopped but the wind blew a little too well.
Was a bit too bouncy for the kids in the open water so we came back to the ramp at the end of Lake Road and beached the tinny.
Fished amongst the boat moorings (by the shore).
Kids caught five whitting (kept three) using prawns and one nice bream about 32cm using half a pilchard.
The boat was beached and they never left it.
A good time was had by all but I never got the chance to use the new downrigger and too busy baiting hooks and untangling line to catch a fish.

nice to hear. Sounds like fishing with the girlfrend, spend to much time untangling the line and baiting the hooks. sounds like ur kids catch more though!:ohhh yeah:
