hey guys, i cant believe i didnt use them before.
I always had 3-4 poppers in my tackle box. And i was thinking "what a waste of money, i could of buy lots of plastics with them"....
until yesterday......
I was fishing in a small bay yesterday afternoon. While it was getting darker, i saw good surface activity. and thought.. why not. Got in the tackle box, got one of the poppers, cast it.
Blup, Blup, wait, blup... oh yeah.... caught this small chopper taylor... But actually seeing the strike from the fish was so much fun.
Just for the fun sake, i think i caught 1 million chopper in two hours.
Man, they are fun.
Maybe i should start actually using them. targeting those whiting, bream on poppers.

well i dont have any chance to get a kinky in your boat (because you hide the gaf, hehe), and you dont go without your boat, means i'm not gonna catch kinky with you.
In this case, since the kinky is good with kinkies, why not catch a kinky with kinky.:hot tail:

You may have left it too late boris, with winter the surface activity slows down for bream and whiting. Summer's the peak season. If you want choppers go to the NE corner of Iron Cove, there are plenty of them there. Hott Hott Hott

or around the spit for tailor on poppers, cant get past them sometimes:duel:
If your gunna keep terrorizing taylor with them, make sure they are them cheap surecatch 1's or it will start costing you !!!
they work fine & they are 3 for $9 roughly
bream still crawl all over them also, great sacrificial rack lures.

Those surecatch's are only good in the orange colour, the rest aren't great IMO. The red-head white body one is a tailor magnet!
Personally I think the surecatch poppers are a great lure for the price and do work really well. The hooks rust out in less than 3 hours of being used but you can replace them if you like.
I have a heap of them in a heap of colours and they all work.
Especially the bright fluoro green one that everyone said would not work. That theory was thrown out the window 3 casts later when I landed a very good bream and subsequent fish after that.
At $3 each you can afford to loose a few.
Cheers
