HI Guys,

Well I battled the idiots at the ramp at around 8 am today......hmmmm. There was no queue and nobody was launching as I pulled up and plenty of parking left.
Chucked in my boat and set out for runway 3. Soft plastics did not bring me any luck there and on prawn I was getting little bream.

Decided to go back to "the hole"in the middle of botany bay and try my plastics there for some flatties. Good choice.

On my way there I was reminded again on how lucky I am to have had the opportunity to move to this country. A big pod of dophins was feeding/swimming in the bay. I love dolphins, so I stopped and had a look for a while. They came pretty close to the boat.

Anyway after a while started to drift over the hole and chucking plastics for flatties. got several ( about 10) and kept a few.

Found a way to fish two rods with SP for flattie.
Just cast and stick the second rod in the rod holder while drifting and flicking your first rod. Flatties will bite regardless the action so it seems http://www.fishing-oz-style.info/forum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif
Got just as many on either rod on different lures as well.

I kept the first legal flattie (little one in picture) as I promised the little boy a flathead and I wasn't sure I'd catch more. Kept two 44-45 cm specimens as well so a good feed for the missus.

On the picture I put the lures in as well that I used. (5" 3/8 oz head 3/0 hook)

Another good day at the bay I'd say got back home around 13:30

nice mate, flatties are good anyway you cookem. But more fun when you hookem. Good to see SPs doing some hard work.

nice work mate, yer ive heard a few people saying they have caught flatties on plastics just drifting, you'll also hear of people doing it for snapper putting bait on one hook and a plastic on the other.

Very nice Jack, especially seeing the Dolphins doing what they do is awesome in itself.
